Library 2.0

Some interesting ideas here. And I really loved reading what other people have to say about Library 2.0 on their blogs. As for me, I truly hope that we will always have real books printed on paper. The idea of reading in bed on any kind of electronic device is not appealing in the least. Back to Library 2.0, it was fascinating to read all of the ideas that are coming out in regard to libraries of the future. Libraries will obviously have to adapt to keep up with the electronic world...but what if some day all the electronic stuff just crashed, forever, and we had no books??

Rollyo, Google

I liked the Google format better, it wasn't so cluttered, no ads. I signed up for both of them just to check out the differences. I can see how these searchrolls would be helpful for library staff who answer reference questions, but I'm not sure I'll use them that much for my own personal searching. I don't want to narrow my searches down quite so much.

The Queen

I loved doing the South Park character, but I needed lots of help uploading it. Miss Diana tried her best, but without her by my side I was hopeless. Matt finally walked me through it step by step, and I was successful.

If only I were really the queen...things would be different!

Library Thing

This was a lot of fun. I like the graphic element, having my library represented by pictures of books. When I get all my books entered I'll put them on this blog. But again, I'm not really into what other people have in their libraries, so I don't care about how many other people have the same books. Rather than spending a lot of time online looking at other people's libraries I'd rather be reading. Could be an age thing...

Technocrati

The main reason I'm not crazy about this site is that I don't really care what anyone else out there is looking at. It means nothing to me that 1324 people tagged any given site. So this isn't one I'll use at all.

Del.icio.us

This one could be a lot of fun. I don't spend a lot of time surfing the internet, however, so don't have a bunch of sites I need to bookmark on del.icio.us. However, it could be a great tool for those that do have a lot of time to spend and sites to visit.
